"It's pretty obvious that riesling in 2025 has emerged as a highlight variety. This one is an excellent example of the season. The aromas show a subtle lemon pith minerality with some quite distinctive spiciness, which you sometimes get in the Great Southern. The palate offers intense fruit with a lovely texture while still retaining that fine linear structure sustained by a gentle acidity. Excellent for current drinking, but with some cellaring if you wish." 94 pts

Tasting Notes
Striking pale straw with green hues
Wonderfully vibrant and expressive combining citrus blossom, lime pith, oyster shells and a hint of green tea.
Medium bodied with full flavour, great texture and lively natural acidity. A pure core of lime wedges, agave and ginger with a distinctive briny, mineral driven palate leading to a fine, long and refreshing. finish.
Vineyard Notes
Fruit is hand-picked from blocks C and D of our Swinney Powderbark vineyard. Canopy management, the use of shade cloth on the afternoon sun side of the vines, and careful bunch selection allows us to eliminate any bunches with excessive sun exposure.
Production Notes
The fruit was whole bunch pressed, lightly settled and then naturally fermented in neutral vessels to achieve a vibrant and expressive reflection of the purity of Frankland River Riesling.
Following fermentation, the wine rested on its lees to both preserve freshness and build texture prior to bottling.
